/ About the project
BookU is a workforce management and employee scheduling platform designed for small and medium-sized businesses. Once my colleagues had established the brand identity, I took on the challenge of translating it into a website that reflects the brand.
Branding
My colleagues translated the BookU brand story into a distinctive visual identity. They explored the idea of connection, movement and discovery through a playful combination of gradients and organic shapes. The gradients create a sense of flow and energy, while the shapes add a friendly and approachable character to the brand. Together, these elements turn the story behind BookU into a visual language that feels dynamic, modern and recognisable. The identity was then applied across different brand touchpoints, creating a cohesive experience while leaving enough flexibility for the system to evolve.

Website
bookU’s visual identity is bold and colorful, but the website needed to feel light, clear, and approachable. I used white as the main canvas to create a clean foundation, while using the brand colors selectively to highlight important elements such as icons, buttons, and calls to action. This kept the interface visually engaging without making it feel overwhelming.

Header & 3D Icons
I really focused on making the headers of each page as interesting as possible. The homepage has an animated header that moves away from the usual SaaS-style hero section. I carried that same motion into the image carousels and even the button hover animations to create a consistent feel throughout the site. For the feature pages, I recreated the flat icons from the brand book as 3D glass icons. They add depth and naturally draw the user’s attention. I love these little details and the visual eye candy they bring to the experience.
